God created a wonderful garden of splendour and delight for Adam and Eve. He

met all of their needs, and they enjoyed fellowship with Him. Satan, though, enticed

Eve disobeyed God and ate of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. He tricked

her into believing God was withholding special privilege, wisdom, and knowledge from

them. His approach was subtle, but his intentions were deadly – sin, pain, toil, sickness.

and death were the results of their disobedience.

Perhaps you have been deceived and have yielded to temptation. You may be

feeling overwhelmed by the guilt of your sin. You do not need to remain bound by sin.

The promise of a redeemer in Genesis 3:15 has been fulfilled in Christ. His death and

Resurrection has purchased your salvation and provided you with power to live a new

life in Christ.

If you have never accepted Christ as your personal saviour, ask Him today to

forgive you of your sins. You can have freedom from sin if you will turn to Him.

Day 2 Discipleship in Action

Jesus is the Messiah who brought redemption for humanity through His death.

and resurrection. However, many of those whom He came to save did not.

recognise or receive Him as the Redeemer (John 1:10, 11). In the same way, many

People today do not recognise who Jesus is nor accept the salvation He offers.

If you have never accepted Jesus Christ as your personal Saviour, believe the

testimony of the Bible and of those who received Him as Saviour. Ask Him to

forgive you of your sins. Then you can experience the joy and peace that only

comes from knowing Jesus as Saviour.

The same Jesus who saved you also wants to baptise you with the Holy Spirit.

The promise of this gift is still valid today (Acts 2:38, 39). Ask Him to baptise you.

with His Spirit. As He does, you will begin to speak in tongues. This is the first

evidence you have received this precious gift, Discipleship in Action

The account of Israel's deliverance from Egyptian bondage is one of the most

awesome displays of God's power recorded in the Bible. But it is also a picture of the

Redemption we have in Jesus Christ. As our Passover Lamb, He gave His life to redeem us.

from the judgement of death because of our sins.

You have forever accepted Christ as your personal Saviour. You can today. You may

have died to earn your salvation through good deeds or self-denial. These can never

procure eternal salvation. But Christ has provided freedom from the bondage of sin through

His death on the cross. Accept Christ's offer of salvation today. Believe that His sacrifice

paid the price for your sins.

When you accept Christ as Saviour, God's righteousness is applied to your life, and you

become a new creation in Christ As a believer you are to reflect God's righteousness in you.

Day 3: Discipleship in Action

Isaiah's declaration that all like sheep have gone astray and have turned to

their own ways aptly describes our world today. Biblical standards of behaviour

have been discarded under the guise of freedom. More and more, as absolutes

are exchanged for liberated thinking, people are finding themselves facing the

unexpected consequences of their sin

Like those in the first century, today's society needs a Redeemer. And just as

Many in Christ's day rejected Him; many today reject His offer of salvation. They

try to find satisfaction and peace of mind through their own efforts and the pursuit

of materialism.

Perhaps you have been seeking satisfaction through your own efforts. But

You have probably realised that you cannot produce the satisfaction you desire.

Only Jesus can. Simply confess your sin and ask Him to be your personal Saviour.

He will set you free from the bondage of sin.
